Standing stark against the skyline, the vitrified, Pictish hillfort on the summit of Tap 'O noth, overlooks the workshop here at Newmill Farm; for we are right in the heart of what once was, the Pictish kingdom.
Appropriate then, perhaps, that I am currently working on a series of handcarved, Pictish beasts. The first two, a wolf and a wild boar, are completed, with a bull and a red deer stag to follow.
